Jason Brown
CHAIRMAN

Jason is an internationally recognized expert in export controls, risk management, enterprise and cyber security, crisis management, and business continuity and resilience. His remarkable leadership and facilitation skills, honed in international, multicultural, and complex environments, make him an exceptional addition to our board.

Jason's diverse board and committee management skills, coupled with his high-level security clearances, equip him well to steer ECAG towards new horizons.

Ben Chapman
VICE-CHAIR

Ben Chapman is the Global Trade Director at Raytheon Australia and a leader in global compliance, and an integral addition to the ECAG board. 

Based in Brisbane, Ben is responsible for the execution of Raytheon Australia’s Global Trade compliance program. He leads the development and implementation of export control policy, and the management of compliance risk. 

This is realised through the provision of effective, efficient, proactive, and timely support by the Global Trade function to enable the Raytheon Australia strategic plan and deliver competitive advantage to the company.

Ben joined Raytheon Australia in 2021 as the Global Trade Operations Manager before being appointed as the Director of the function in that same year.

Prior to joining Raytheon Australia, Ben worked with several Defence industry companies in both Trade Compliance and Supply Chain Management roles, as well as having enjoyed a successful 23-year career in the Australian Army.

Travis Shueard
Director - Legal

Travis is a solicitor at a national law firm and specialises in intellectual property protection and enforcement.
 
Over the course of his legal career, Travis has advised a wide range of clients, including defence primes and contractors, SMEs, IT companies, builders, mining and resources companies, and professional services firms.
 
Travis has a passion for the Defence industry, particularly export controls and wider strategic trade. He has presented to government, industry and academia on issues such as ITAR, defence procurement and IP protection.

ECAG are looking forward to the valuable contribution of Travis's legal expertise to contribute to achieve our mission and goals.
